From the AMC's Summer Movie Camp and Shuttlecock Cinema at the Nelson to Free Friday Nite Flicks at Crown Center, City Market, Independence Square, Briarcliff Village and the KC Public Library --you can't go wrong with a FREE movie!
Free Friday Night Flicks at Crown Center :
Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and head to the Free Friday Night Flicks at Crown Center. Films are shown on the huge outdoor screen on the Crown Center Square located across from the Crown Center Shops. Admission is free and the movies begin at around 9pm.
Nelson-Atkins Shuttlecock Cinema:
At the Nelson's Shuttlecock Cinema, friends and families alike can stretch out on the huge lawn that houses the Nelson's Kansas City Sculpture Park. Enjoy free movies among the stars and sculptures and of course, those famed shuttlecocks.
AMC Summer Movie Camp:
AMC's Summer Movie Camp offers up G & PG rated movies on Wednesday mornings for $1. They also offer their Kids Pack Combo (drink, popcorn, etc) for a discount. Portion of the proceeds benefit nationwide charities.
Legends 14 Summer Movies at Village West:
The Legends 14 has free G and PG rated films every Tuesday and Wednesday in June and July. Doors open at 9 am
and although seating is on a first come, first serve basis, there is no age limit for moviegoers. The Legends 14 offers a discounted
Kid's Meal and a bunch of great movies this summer to beat the heat.
The Pharaoh Theater on the Independence Square :
The Pharaoh Theater on the Independence Square offers free movies throughout August. Bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the free flicks.
City Market Cinema:
City Market Cinema will take place in the City Market Park, located at Third & Main. Admission is free and movies will begin at 9:00 p.m.
Off the Wall Film Series at the KC Public Library :
The Kansas City Public Library Central Branch presents it's 'Off-the-Wall Film Series' on Friday evenings throughout the summer on their rooftop terrace at 14 W. 10th St. The shows start at 8:45 and they provide free popcorn.
Free Flicks at Briarcliff Village :
Briarcliff Village hosts their free movies series throughout the summer. Movies start at dusk and you may sit with blankets or lawn chairs on the hill between Nell Hill's and Trezo Mare.
